INTERNET EXPLORER 7

When viewing the Postersize-it website in the Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 browser you may find some features do not behave as expected. While some of the issues below are not necessarily browser specific, we are adding this info based on our own experience with the IE7 browser when run under it's default settings.

The IE7 Pop-Up Blocker
The pop-up blocker included with IE7 may prevent any new windows from opening, not just advertisers.

Some of the pages on our website are designed to open in a new window to aid navigation. There are no advertiser pop-ups on our website.

When making a purchase in our shopping cart, a new window must be opened on the Paypal merchant service website.

To allow easy navigation of our website and permit use of the Paypal shopping cart, it is recommended that you temporarily permit pop-ups.

Cookies
Persistent cookies are not used by Postersize-it to track our visitors online behavior. We sell prints not information.

Cookies are required in our "full service" shopping cart to provide login and navigational functionality.

Cookies are also required to provide functionality when making purchases through the Paypal merchant service.

If you have any difficulty making a purchase in our shopping cart or using one of our invoices, please be sure you are allowing cookies.

Extreme Privacy Settings
While not specific to the latest IE Browser, some privacy/security settings can interfere with functionality or our own security measures.

Settings that block our form script from checking the referrer header on the page that follows a successful file upload will result in an error message upon submission.

This is in no way a privacy issue. The referrer check simply helps prevent our form from being misused by verifying that the form is being submitted from a page within our website.

If you encounter an error message upon submitting our form, either temporarily reduce privacy settings (personal firewall products are notorious for this behavior) or just send us the info in an e-mail to: customerservice@postersize-it.com

Our File Uploader
Our file uploader has been tested using both Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla Firefox browsers without issues.

Apple's Safari browser (V 3.0 Beta) has issues with our upload script. We have successfully uploaded files using this browser with both pop-up blocking and private browsing turned off.
An inconsistent error "Safari was unable to make a secure connection" when attempting to upload files has not been resolved.
Safari did not appear to have issues with our contact form on the "Success" page.

We cannot attempt to diagnose issues with individual configuations, but we are always interested in "bug reports" pertaining to the various browser and operating system's behavior on our website. Please feel free to pass along your own experiences.
