Expecting a Reply But Not Hearing From Us?

Some Filters We Know Have Or Continue To Block Our Communications

The first thing you'll want to do is send us another e-mail letting us know. Preferrably including an alternate e-mail address which you know is not being filtered for SPAM.

SPAM filters are the number one reason for failed delivery of our e-mails. Not because we produce SPAM, We Don't. These mail filtering technologies are more useful for reducing the burdon SPAM places on large networks than it is for keeping SPAM out of your individual inbox. Unless the filter technology you are using allows you to permit certain senders (whitelisting), and you use it faithfully, receiving small business e-mail becomes a crap shoot at best.

A few things to consider:

If you are using any sort of local SPAM filter you'll need to check the bulk mail or SPAM folder. It is very likely this is where our e-mails have been deposited. If your software offers the ability to "whitelist" addresses to allow delivery, please put customerservice@postersize-it.com in there. If you've set this filter to automaically delete suspect email you are likely losing a whole lot more than our communications.

Sometimes a reply will be treated more favorably than what may appear to be an unsolicited contact from us. If you provided your contact info using our online form, please send us an e-mail if you have not received a response from us within 24hrs.

If your ISP is filtering your incoming messages (presumably with your permission) you may need to log-in to your webmail account to view messages that have been placed in the designated bulk mail or SPAM folder. If they offer notification when mail has been placed in such folders use it. It is your responsibility to learn how to properly use these features once you choose to activate them. Nothing is automatic and nothing is for sure, regardless of what an ISP's advertisements may lead you to believe.

Many times it is a simple matter of placing customerservice@postersize-it.com into your address book to allow our mail to reach you directly. Check your ISP or mail service provider's policies regarding the whitelisting of email addresses.

If you have requested an invoice for your order or use our shopping cart, you must also allow incoming mail from Paypal.

If you have requested information our e-mail may refer you to specific areas of our website using hyperlinks, be sure you can receive mail containing these links. Some ISP's and e-mail service providers block mail containing hyperlinks.

If you have requested pictures to be included in a reply from us, like examples of layouts that you are interested in, you must have your mail permissions set to allow file attachments. Specifically .jpg attachments.

If you have requested a completed mail order form your settings must allow Adobe .pdf attachments.

Attachments, hyperlinks, and images are all frequently blocked by ISP's and email services in an attempt to thwart infected mail, phishing scams, pornography. For the alert adult, the delete button works far more reliably than any software solution currently available today. If you worry about infected email, and everybody should, see the links at the bottom of this page.

Sometimes technology fails.
If you believe you cannot send e-mail to our customer service address, or you are actually receiving bounce messages, please try this alternative domain: postersize_it@go.com (that's postersize_it in this address) Messages are not checked as often here, but we will be checking this address more frequently during any known outages. We would prefer image file attachments not be sent to this address without prior approval.

Postersize-it does not utilize any bulk mail or e-mail marketing at all...None.

Postersize-it does not buy, sell, or trade our customer e-mail addresses.

Postersize-it does not retain customer e-mail addresses beyond the time necessary to complete an order unless specifically asked to do otherwise.

Postersize-it does not maintain any e-mail lists or publish newsletters of any kind.
If you were expecting a holiday card or notices of upcoming sales, we apologize.

Postersize-it does not deliberately block e-mail from any domain or IP range.
There is a right and a wrong way to do just about anything, this is the WRONG WAY to reduce SPAM.

Postersize-it will not pay blackmail to be permitted access to your inbox.
If your ISP or email service is utilizing a pay for permission scheme we strongly urge you change your service provider. These systems simply give a free pass to send you all the junk mail a business is willing to pay for, while continuing to block email from smaller companies you may wish to do business with.
If you stay with such a service your bulk mail folder may soon become your inbox.

Postersize-it is not using an "evil" mail server. All shared mail servers can become blacklisted by anti-SPAM software, incuding your own. If any one of it's many users is determined to be sending bulk mail the server itself may be placed on a blacklist. This is why we believe any system that blocks incoming mail based on the IP address of the server that handled it is just plain wrongheaded. We can't change servers every time some software developer makes such an arbitrary decision based on flawed logic when updating their blacklist. Some services do update these lists very frequently, but this only serves to create a hit or miss system with no apparent rhyme or reason visible to the average user.
Only those mail senders who can afford to operate their own mail server can hope to avoid intermittent IP blacklisting, provided nobody spoofs their IP address to send bulk mail, another trick of the spammer's trade.

If you are using 3rd party lists to block incoming mail these are a few that should definitely be avoided:

  • NEVER BLOCK WITH: BLARSBL, FIVETENIGNORE, FIVETENSRC, JAMMDNSBL, SPAMBAG, SPEWS, UCEPROTECTL2, (These block large IP ranges)
  • NEVER BLOCK WITH: MAPS-DUL, SORBS-DUHL, APEWS (These knowingly list IPs that do not meet listing criteria).

  • You can check to see if your own mailserver is on many of the commonly used block lists here:

If you believe your ISP or email service is preventing you from receiving our email replies and they are not responsive to your efforts to whitelist mail from Postersize-it we want to hear from you. Please, (1) tell us the name of your ISP or email service. (2) tell us what makes you think they are blocking our messages. (3) tell us what measures, if any, you have taken to insure receipt of our messages. (4) tell us what, if any, response you have received when you contacted your ISP or email service regarding this problem.
    Confidentiality is guaranteed.
Your name or personal email address will not be retained for use in connection with any action we may take to insure unrestricted trade with our customers. We take what we believe to be the unlawful misdirection of our communications very seriously, we think you should too.

If you think you have received unsolicited e-mail from Postersize-it.com, please let us know about it. Although it is very likely the return path has been forged, we'll be glad to confirm this for you.

E-mail worms have the nasty habit of harvesting valid email addresses from an infected host machine's address book. These addresses are then found in both forged return paths and recipient lines as the worm attempts to propagate. If you have received an infected e-mail showing one of Postersize-it's e-mail addresses in it's return path this is certainly how it occured. This is not an indication that our own equipment has become infected. We employ numerous safeguards on our systems to prevent infection or it's spread, without limiting our ability to receive legitimate messages.
Infected e-mail should simply be deleted if your anti-virus software has not done so already.

It is really bad policy to automatically "return to sender" messages deemed inappropriate by software as this only adds to the netwide epidemic of unsolicited or infected e-mail by "returning" it to a forged address. Essentially forwarding this unwanted rubbish to an innocent 3rd party. Always set your anti-virus/anti-spam software to quarantine such messages without reply.

Controlling unwanted e-mail solicitations and the proliferation of any e-mail borne virus is the business of everyone who uses the internet. However, this must be done responsibly and fairly. Any scheme which causes harm to the many legitimate small businesses offering their services online or further advances the interests of only the largest corporations must not be tolerated or the quality of the internet itself will suffer.

Some security resources we highly recommend that will not interfere with your ability to receive legitimate e-mail.

Some of these vendors do offer software suites which include e-mail SPAM filtering. If you utilize these mail controls, it is up to you to learn how to do so in a way that doesn't interfere with incoming messages you wish to receive.

This is hands down the very best anti-virus program available today. It's not free but worth every penny, and still less expensive than some of it's competition. Professional class protection for the home PC. Runs quietly in the background until it's needed without hogging system resources unlike some of the others.
