Our new equipment permits 35mm film scans at optical resolutions up to 5400 dpi. A distinct advantage when scanning film for large prints. This equipment also utilizes multipass imaging, automated IR filtering (Digital ICE) and film grain management (GEM) among others to improve image quality on less than pristine negatives and decrease random digital noise. While it is possible to get reasonable scans for smaller prints from slides or photos on your home or office scanner, a dedicated film scanner is required to capture the detail of the original image shot with a 35mm film camera. The higher resolutions and resulting file sizes we can offer are far superior to the "photo disks" available from most local photo labs for printing purposes. We are offering this specialized service for both printing and archival storage of your 35mm images. Substantial quantity discounts are available to those wishing to convert large numbers of images to digital format for archival storage. Both TIF and JPG formats are available in various resolutions depending on your needs and are supplied on CD or DVD optical data disks. It's the next best thing to drum scanning at a fraction of the cost.
